During a conversation with 'Bachelor' alum Madison Prewitt, Candace shared that there have been times when she and Valeri felt "stuck" in their relationship, navigating the "shallow of the valley." She explained that they sometimes lacked the courage to address difficult issues, fearing they would hurt each other's feelings.
But here's where it gets controversial... Candace's transparency about the challenges in her marriage is a refreshing change from the often-perfected images of celebrity relationships. She's been open about the "rough seasons" they've endured, including a particularly challenging period in 2020.
Interestingly, Candace credits her son, Lev, for helping them through this difficult time. Lev, despite his youth, offered marriage advice rooted in his faith, which resonated deeply with his parents.
And this is the part most people miss... Candace has also acknowledged that their three children, Natasha, Lev, and Maksim, have, at times, put their marriage "to the test." She humorously described how children can unintentionally create conflict between parents.
